Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support Prudential platforms across backend and frontend technologies.
- Translate business requirements into well-architected full-stack software solutions.
- Develop data integration, migration, and deployment strategies.
- Participate in or facilitate technical discussions, code reviews, technical design, and engineering best practices.
- Deliver applications in accordance with IT policies, procedures, technical standards, and the software development lifecycle.
- Identify and solve complex technical problems collaboratively.
- Develop Java/Spring Boot backend services and React or Flutter frontend applications.
- Support environment management, release management, version control, and deployment activities.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining IT applications or full-stack systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong Java 11+ and Spring Boot backend development experience, including Spring Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with React or Flutter, including component development, state management, API integration, responsive design, and automated testing.
- Experience with JUnit, Cucumber, relational or NoSQL databases, Git, and Bitbucket.
- Basic experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platform services, API Gateway, and Confluent Kafka.
- Strong understanding of software testing, including unit testing, TDD, and BDD.
- Experience with Agile software development, including Scrum, Kanban, complexity estimation, and planning poker.
- Experience with large web-based systems and complete software product lifecycle exposure.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience with third-party vendor engagement is preferred.
