Principal Engineer, Software

- Design, develop, maintain, test, debug, and optimize cloud-based web applications and software solutions.
- Lead subsystem-level design and development activities while ensuring alignment with product architecture.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions with cross-functional teams.
- Support new product development, product enhancements, legacy product activities, customer complaint investigations, and software issue resolution.
- Participate in architectural reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile delivery ceremonies.
- Apply software development lifecycle, CI/CD, Agile, and IEC 62304 practices.
- Lead technical initiatives, influence architectural decisions, mentor teams, and drive engineering quality and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 12–15 years of experience designing and developing enterprise-grade web applications.
- Strong full-stack development expertise using Java, TypeScript, and React.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including Docker and Kubernetes containerized environments.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, enterprise integration patterns, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Azure SQL, SQL Server, and other modern database technologies; Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL exposure is advantageous.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices, Azure DevOps, code quality tools, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with MQTT; Kafka or RabbitMQ exposure is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, software architecture, and secure coding practices.
- Healthcare, medical-device, or other regulated-industry experience is preferred.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, influence architecture, mentor teams, communicate effectively, manage stakeholders, and collaborate globally.
