Responsibilities
- Develop Spring Boot microservices that orchestrate LLM-powered agents using OpenAI specifications and MCP clients, servers, and tool schemas.
- Implement tool execution layers, function calling, retries, guardrails, and safety checks.
- Build APIs and event-driven pipelines for agent requests, RAG and embedding-based context assembly, and result streaming.
- Integrate with GitHub webhooks, GitHub Actions, pull-request review bots, Cline workflows, and Claude endpoints.
- Manage configuration, secrets, access control, compliance, and least-privilege design.
- Add logs, metrics, traces, run metadata, and reliability and performance dashboards.
- Write unit and integration tests, automate builds and deployments, maintain service-contract documentation, and collaborate with front-end and platform teams.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of professional back-end engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Practical experience integrating OpenAI or Claude LLMs into services and understanding agentic workflows and tool or function orchestration.
- Familiarity with MCP client and server implementation and OpenAI specification-driven tool definitions.
- Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs, data modeling, and message or event systems such as Kafka or SQS.
- Exposure to GitHub APIs or Actions, Cline, and Claude model integrations.
- Solid understanding of testing, CI/CD, and cloud deployment patterns.
- Preferred: experience with RAG, embeddings, lightweight vector stores, caching, rate limiting, AI-service security, prompt-injection defenses, input validation, secret management, Datadog or OpenTelemetry, and JVM/Spring performance tuning.
