Base Salary
$180k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve data contract standards across the company.
- Design interoperable ingestion and publishing frameworks.
- Build and standardize APIs, libraries, or SDKs for data management.
- Establish best practices for schema registry usage and validation.
- Lead reverse ETL and activation architecture for operational use cases.
- Define and enforce access control and compliance standards.
- Partner with various teams to align on standards and direction.
- Mentor engineers and influence engineering culture around data quality.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices.
- Design guardrails for AI access to data systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering or platform development.
- Experience designing data contracts and schema governance.
- Strong expertise in Python and SQL.
- Experience with distributed data systems like Spark and lakehouse architectures.
- Familiarity with data warehouses such as Snowflake.
- Experience building APIs or platform services used by multiple teams.
- Strong understanding of access control and compliance in regulated environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional architectural initiatives.
- Clear communication skills and a track record of influencing standards.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
