Base Salary
$232k - $348k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic systems that investigate, diagnose, and remediate production issues, including errors, build failures, performance regressions, and security anomalies.
- Architect multi-step agent workflows coordinating tools, APIs, sandboxed code execution, and durable state.
- Build integrations and skills for deployments, functions, logs, metrics, DNS, and the broader Vercel platform.
- Ship user-facing agent experiences across Slack, the Vercel dashboard, and the Vercel CLI.
- Develop infrastructure for dynamic runtime skill injection and context-aware routing.
- Collaborate on prompt engineering, model evaluation, and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of full-time software engineering experience.
- Strong TypeScript proficiency, or deep Python experience with enthusiasm for working in TypeScript.
- Strong product and UI sensibility with the ability to build polished experiences independently.
- Full-stack capability and understanding of infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and large-scale web applications.
- Experience building or contributing to frameworks, platforms, or reusable abstractions.
- Ability to ship independently, influence architecture, and set direction on a small, high-impact team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical details into actionable insights.
- Bonus: experience building agentic systems, AI tooling, automation frameworks, or production agents.
- Bonus: familiarity with LLM APIs such as Anthropic and OpenAI, prompt engineering, or retrieval-augmented generation.
- Bonus: experience with Vercel, Next.js, or the modern web deployment ecosystem.
- Bonus: experience with sandboxed execution environments, container orchestration, or secure multi-tenant systems.
