Responsibilities
- Build and maintain an observability stack using in-house, open-source, and cloud-managed services.
- Develop and operate large-scale ETL, telemetry, log, metrics, and stream-processing data pipelines.
- Build scalable backend systems and use big-data tools to process massive volumes of cloud events.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and keep globally distributed services online.
- Lead and mentor engineers and help the team grow technically.
- Own services from development through operation and improve cloud performance, safety, and usability.
- Collaborate with partners and customers across countries and time zones to understand and solve their needs.
Requirements
- Deep experience building software and leading engineering teams.
- Strong experience moving, storing, and processing very large amounts of data.
- Highly skilled in building ETL data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, Flink, and Apache Druid.
- A mentoring-oriented approach and strong service ownership mindset.
- Experience with observability stacks, global teams, and direct customer collaboration is preferred.
