Responsibilities
- Define, design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices on Google Cloud Platform.
- Build RESTful APIs and Apigee endpoints for partner integrations, including API documentation with Swagger or equivalent.
- Architect resilient, highly available cloud applications and implement endpoint, cache-aside, and read/write-through caching layers.
- Perform technical discovery, evaluate solutions, and advise on cloud design, enterprise architecture, and service blueprints.
- Develop automated unit, integration, performance, monitoring, and failure-notification solutions.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, architects, engineering managers, product owners, and global delivery teams.
- Participate in Agile, XP, pair programming, TDD, CI/CD, DevOps, security testing, monitoring, logging, and tracing practices.
- Mentor less experienced developers and contribute to technical research, proofs of concept, and enterprise technology shifts.
Requirements
- B.E., B.Tech, or M.C.A. degree.
- 7+ years of experience developing and maintaining enterprise-scale web applications and backend services.
- 5+ years of experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Core, Spring Batch, reactive programming, microservices, and data pipelines.
- 3+ years of cloud experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure, including 2+ years using GCP features such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and Redis.
- Experience implementing Apigee endpoints with Java and Spring Boot and designing caching layers.
- Experience with SonarQube, Cycode, 42 Crunch, Tekton, Terraform, JUnit, Mockito, and JMeter.
- Experience with enterprise data analytics, reporting, monitoring, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
- Preferred experience architecting fault-tolerant microservices, GCP or reactive certifications, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DB2, DDL, DML, SRE practices, observability, and Agile Scrum.
- Ability to work across diverse stakeholders and global delivery environments, solve problems creatively and analytically, and communicate effectively.
