Responsibilities
- Define and drive the architecture of large-scale distributed application systems across the platform.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and lead development of core features and APIs serving providers, payers, and patients.
- Ensure applications are secure, performant, maintainable, scalable, and compliant with NCQA, CMS, and payer requirements.
- Embed automated testing, monitoring, release safeguards, and audit-readiness practices into the development lifecycle.
- Partner with DevOps, Data, Product, Clinical, Operations, Quality, Security, Compliance, and Release Management teams.
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews and technical deep-dives, and facilitate incident retrospectives.
- Influence engineering practices and technical standards across multiple teams.
Requirements
- 13+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 4+ years in a staff, principal, or lead role.
- Expertise designing and scaling distributed, cloud-native applications.
- Strong background in one or more of Python, Java, or TypeScript/React.
- Proven ability to drive system architecture, technical strategy, and execution.
- Healthcare technology or other regulated-environment experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success mentoring and growing engineering talent.
- Hands-on payment integrity experience, including exposure to claims processing, audit workflows, or healthcare payment validation systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
