Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans for embedded software and systems.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and frameworks using Python and Pytest.
- Perform functional, integration, system-level, regression, and release validation testing.
- Validate embedded applications in Linux-based environments.
- Test communication protocols including CAN, CANopen, and MQTT.
- Analyze test results, identify defects and root causes, and support issue resolution.
- Collaborate with development, firmware, and hardware teams to debug failures and verify fixes.
- Maintain test cases, reports, logs, and other test documentation.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines and report test metrics.
- Ensure compliance with defined testing standards and procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote test automation best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics and communication, embedded systems, electrical/electronics engineering, or a related field.
- At least 9 years of professional software test engineering experience.
- Proven experience testing embedded systems and owning the complete test cycle.
- Strong knowledge of Python, CAN, CANopen, and MQTT.
- Experience with Eclipse IDE or Visual Studio Code for test development in Linux.
- Strong problem-solving, analysis, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience testing and maintaining complex embedded-system test frameworks.
- Medical-domain experience is preferred.
