Base Salary
$155k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain core software for Cisco Wireless Access Point products.
- Architect and implement high-performance features that improve functionality, scalability, and availability.
- Optimize embedded software stacks across complex networking environments.
- Lead development and maintenance of critical features that improve system reliability and platform performance.
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional engineering teams and drive projects with minimal managerial guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience programming in C and C++ for high-performance embedded systems.
- Expertise in Python scripting for development and automation support.
- Knowledge of 802.11 wireless protocols and network protocol stacks, including L2 switching, IP routing, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with Linux-based development environments and network resource management.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, prioritization, and continuous-learning skills.
