Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define the architectural design, strategy, vision, and roadmap for the next-generation US sports betting and trading platform.
- Evaluate architectural decisions across the broader technology ecosystem and build stakeholder support.
- Create vision documents, target operating models, roadmaps, governance frameworks, and other strategic architecture artifacts.
- Initiate and oversee proofs of concept to mitigate technical risk and validate architectural decisions.
- Advocate for the architectural vision with senior management and technical leadership.
- Provide architectural governance and support to ensure solutions adhere to the established vision.
- Represent departmental architectural needs in broader technology discussions.
- Lead the integration of third-party COTS solutions with external architects and technical representatives.
- Drive cross-departmental architecture initiatives among departmental architects and technical leadership.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to continuously evolve and improve product architecture.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in distributed systems architecture and high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- Extensive experience with high availability, functional or immutable data models, microservices, N-tier architecture, and infrastructure architecture.
- Professional experience with cloud technologies and designing systems for the cloud.
- Google Cloud Platform expertise is desirable.
- Experience designing or working on trading systems, particularly in financial or gambling sectors, is highly desirable.
- Sports betting industry experience is a significant advantage.
- A proven record of creating greenfield enterprise solutions at scale.
- Recognized expertise in core departmental technologies, strong problem-solving ability, and robust engineering principles.
- Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and architectural simplification skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activity streams, work autonomously, and shift focus as required.
