Responsibilities

Create, design, deploy, maintain, and support internal and external software applications and solutions.
Serve as a technical lead for scalable, resilient, and secure application services using RESTful and event-driven architectures.
Develop backend services with Java, Spring Boot, SQL, JDBC, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Kafka.
Design and deploy containerized applications using OpenShift and Kubernetes-based platforms.
Manage continuous builds and deployments with Maven, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and HashiCorp Vault.
Develop micro-frontend UI services with React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript, and help maintain a consistent design system.
Ensure applications meet performance, privacy, and security requirements and troubleshoot complex production incidents.
Support technical and business presentations, risk mitigation, monitoring controls, code reviews, and agile development practices.
Manage and mentor engineers across multiple geographies and collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product Management, architects, project management, business partners, and end users.

At least 8 years of related experience, including 8+ years of backend development experience in Java and Spring Boot.
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Hands-on experience with Kafka, REST APIs, and Kubernetes-based container platforms.
Proficiency in object-oriented design patterns and programming techniques.
Familiarity with Splunk, Grafana, Maven, Jenkins, Dynatrace, and deployment tooling.
Experience with large modular codebases, monorepos, and scalable application packaging and deployment, preferably with Docker.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex production incidents.
Proficient communication skills and experience mentoring or managing engineers across multiple geographies.
Ability to collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product Management, and other multifunctional teams.
