Base Salary

$148k - $267k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the administrative services portfolio, including control-plane services, administrative interfaces, user and role management, authentication and authorization, lifecycle management, and peripheral or middleware services.
  • Define and maintain architecture and delivery roadmaps for administrative capabilities across multiple deployment types and environments.
  • Lead development and sustainment of administrative experiences for administrators, operations personnel, field and support teams, regional managers, and role-specific users.
  • Oversee integration and lifecycle management of peripherals and middleware, including drivers, SDKs, vendor APIs, and compatibility planning.
  • Serve as technical lead for vendor engagement, certification, and introduction of new peripherals or middleware.
  • Ensure reliable installation, upgrade, rollback, and support operations for integrated components.
  • Troubleshoot administration, authentication, user access, device integration, compatibility, and platform-management workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or four additional years of experience in lieu of the degree.
  • At least 15 years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years leading a major service or functional domain.
  • Active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required; TS/SCI is the minimum clearance.
  • Experience with Java-based backend microservices and modern web-based administrative interfaces.
  • Strong experience designing and delivering administrative or control-plane services for complex distributed systems.
  • Experience with user and role management, secure access-control services, lifecycle orchestration, or peripheral and device-management platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across administration, authentication, access, device integration, compatibility, and platform-management workflows.
  • Active polygraph is a plus.
  • Experience with the Elastic Stack, including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana, and/or the LGTM Stack, including Loki, Grafana, Tempo, and Mimir, is desired.
  • Familiarity with HashiCorp technologies including Nomad, Consul, Vault, and Terraform in clustered and distributed environments is desired.
  • Experience with Linux-based distributed environments and operational tooling for control-plane services is desired.
  • Experience designing, integrating, and troubleshooting RESTful APIs in highly available distributed environments is desired.
  • Experience conducting compatibility testing for versioned drivers and SDKs is desired.
  • Familiarity with release engineering practices for device-integration components and secure design principles for administrative workflows is desired.
