Base Salary
$105k - $163k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Java/Spring Boot services and REST APIs supporting receiving operations.
- Develop event-driven integrations using Kafka.
- Write and optimize Postgres queries and schemas.
- Deploy and operate containerized services on Kubernetes and AWS.
- Write automated tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews and a rotating week-long on-call shift to troubleshoot production issues with senior-engineer support.
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code while owning the quality of shipped software.
- Partner with product, operations, and engineering teams to translate operational needs into software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional software engineering experience, including internships and substantial project work.
- Working knowledge of Java or a similar object-oriented language.
- Understanding of REST API design and general web service concepts.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
- Fundamentals in data structures, testing, and version control with Git.
- Clear communication and a willingness to ask questions.
- Preferred: exposure to Spring Boot, Kafka or other messaging and streaming systems, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS or other cloud platforms, and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot.
- Supply chain, warehouse, or logistics experience involving WMS, receiving, inventory, or fulfillment is advantageous but not required.
