Base Salary
$210k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the embedded Linux software stack on Jetson Orin NX and AAEON hardware.
- Build and integrate ROS2 nodes for multi-sensor orchestration.
- Design and maintain OTA software and firmware update pipelines.
- Develop sensor driver integrations and calibration routines.
- Optimize AI inference pipelines for power and thermal constraints.
- Build and maintain secure connectivity between SmartMast units and the cloud.
- Design for reliability in degraded connectivity environments.
- Instrument the edge stack with observability tooling and resolve field-reported issues.
- Collaborate with Hardware, Cloud Platform, and AI/ML teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of embedded Linux or platform software engineering experience.
- Strong command of C++ and Python with familiarity in Linux internals.
- Hands-on experience with the Yocto Project for custom embedded Linux distributions.
- Experience with ROS or ROS2 for sensor integration.
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson platforms and TensorRT/CUDA optimization.
- Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP and VLAN configuration.
- Experience with OTA update systems for embedded fleets.
- Ability to read hardware schematics and collaborate with hardware engineers.
- Strong debugging skills across hardware-software boundaries.
