Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Support development and analysis of flight software requirements for a 5G lunar surface communications network.
- Coordinate, review, and maintain flight software requirements, architecture, design, and other documentation.
- Identify software risks and vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans.
- Develop Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirements Documents, and Requirements Traceability Matrices.
- Facilitate milestone reviews, coordinate closure of Review Item Dispositions, and participate in NASA software boards.
- Track and coordinate resolution of flight software bugs and defects.
- Support trade studies, analyses, assessments, integration, testing, and verification of flight software.
- Provide guidance and oversight for adherence to NASA SSET standards and Class A safety-critical flight software processes.
- Interface with NASA and prime contractor engineering teams across software subsystems and programs.
- Develop software tools and scripts as needed.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer, or software engineering, computer science, or a related discipline is required.
- At least five years of related software systems engineering experience with real-time safety-critical software is required.
- Strong technical, written, verbal communication, coordination, organization, and prioritization skills are required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision and work effectively in a team-oriented environment is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in a relevant discipline and experience with full life-cycle safety-critical human-rated software.
- Preferred experience includes 5G, spacecraft communications, human-rated space vehicles, NASA SSET standards, CMMI Level 3 or higher, C++, Python, hardware/software integration, NASA cFS, flight software verification, vehicle-wide space systems, vehicle operations, and software configuration management tools.
