Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Integrate drivers and peripheral software while investigating and resolving system-level software issues.
- Work with cross-functional software teams to verify and debug software stability issues and features.
- Design and implement scalable build-system software and tools for generating multiple image flavors.
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams to meet platform power and performance KPIs.
- Partner with program management and product image leads on software roadmaps and delivery plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of Software Engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 1+ year of experience or a PhD.
- At least 2 years of academic or professional experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Previous embedded software development and device-driver experience.
- Experience with software integration, source control, testing, and build systems such as SCons.
- Working knowledge of real-time operating systems, CPU architecture, and JTAG on-chip debugging.
- Experience developing software in C, C++, and assembly, plus knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
- Strong debugging, critical-thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
