Responsibilities
- Guide the technical direction and implementation of large-scale product features.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to influence product strategy and direction.
- Build and ship well-tested, secure, reliable, and maintainable software for distributed SaaS systems.
- Evaluate trade-offs involving correctness, robustness, performance, and customer impact.
- Debug team inefficiencies, identify engineering blockers, and improve engineering practices.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, complex bug fixes, and software engineering excellence.
- Mentor and performance-coach engineers, including improving the growth engineering team.
- Recognize and reconcile gaps and redundant efforts across organizations and support cross-company collaboration.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-grade solutions using microservices.
- Experience with Java, Kotlin, observability tools, and service operations.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS offerings.
- Experience building distributed systems for a SaaS product.
- Experience influencing and performance-coaching engineers.
- Demonstrated success with cross-company collaboration and improving organizational effectiveness.
