Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to determine testing strategies for proposed changes.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and pipelines for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Create and maintain test plans and test cases for compute services, including edge cases.
- Write and maintain scripts for automated deployments, migrations, and rollbacks.
- Investigate complex issues, reproduce failures, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and promote quality practices.
Requirements
- 12 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Python and Pytest, with knowledge of modern testing methodologies.
- Working knowledge of Perl and Go.
- Experience debugging failures across x86 and ARM environments, including native or emulated systems.
- Knowledge of Debian packaging and QEMU TCG and KVM acceleration.
- Expertise in cloud-native infrastructure, system internals, and performance.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SaltStack.
- Strong Linux fundamentals, performance tuning, Bash, and scripting.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle processes and service-level objective monitoring and alerting.
