Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define user requirements and technical direction for agentic observability scenarios across Kubernetes and Linux.
- Design and deliver production-quality products, applications, services, and platforms supporting safe, observable, and evaluable agentic workflows.
- Implement, review, test, debug, maintain, and improve extensible software while mentoring other engineers.
- Coordinate cross-product dependencies, project plans, release plans, and work items across multiple groups.
- Collect, correlate, and interpret systems telemetry using Kubernetes, Linux kernel, and eBPF techniques.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual, participate in on-call operations, and monitor systems for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
- Drive improvements in availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, and large-scale operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience with C, C++, Go, Python, or Rust.
- Ability to pass Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master's degree with 8+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience designing and operating a production Kubernetes/Linux observability or distributed-systems capability, including telemetry, incident response, and rollout or rollback.
- Preferred: experience building or operating a tool-using AI-agent system with documented evaluation sets and auditable approval or safety controls.
- Preferred: experience leading adoption of shared technical architecture across at least two engineering teams or contributing a design/change accepted by an upstream open-source project.

- Base pay is listed for U.S. locations, with a separate range for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
