Base Salary
$170k - $278k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and architecture for complex systems.
- Design and implement embedded software running on Skydio vehicles.
- Characterize, integrate, and validate key subsystems such as next-generation cameras and radios.
- Bring up and debug new hardware.
- Write interfaces and drivers for sensors and other devices.
- Architect, build, and lead development of current and future products.
Requirements
- Experience writing modern C++ in real-time embedded environments and Python development experience.
- Practical experience writing firmware or embedded code for physical devices.
- Experience with SoC development, embedded microcontrollers, and camera drivers; Qualcomm experience is a plus.
- Experience with embedded Linux userspace and kernel development.
- Knowledge of low-level firmware, hardware bring-up, system debugging, and code optimization.
- Knowledge of debugging systems at the ARM assembly level.
- Experience with embedded security and cryptographic firmware development.
- Ability to write clean code with appropriate abstraction boundaries.
