Base Salary

$170k - $278k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and architecture for complex systems.
  • Design and implement embedded software running on Skydio vehicles.
  • Characterize, integrate, and validate key subsystems such as next-generation cameras and radios.
  • Bring up and debug new hardware.
  • Write interfaces and drivers for sensors and other devices.
  • Architect, build, and lead development of current and future products.

Requirements

  • Experience writing modern C++ in real-time embedded environments and Python development experience.
  • Practical experience writing firmware or embedded code for physical devices.
  • Experience with SoC development, embedded microcontrollers, and camera drivers; Qualcomm experience is a plus.
  • Experience with embedded Linux userspace and kernel development.
  • Knowledge of low-level firmware, hardware bring-up, system debugging, and code optimization.
  • Knowledge of debugging systems at the ARM assembly level.
  • Experience with embedded security and cryptographic firmware development.
  • Ability to write clean code with appropriate abstraction boundaries.
