
Senior Software Engineer

$170k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, ambiguous technical projects from conception through completion.
- Anticipate technical and architectural issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Architect foundational systems and drive monitoring initiatives that improve platform stability, reliability, and durability.
- Improve engineering processes, quality of life, feedback loops, and observability practices.
- Mentor junior and senior engineers and foster a culture of feedback and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams while serving as a product owner for engineering initiatives.
- Participate in customer calls and engage with end users to understand needs and identify product opportunities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated full-stack capability across Django and Postgres on the backend, TypeScript, GraphQL, and NextJS on the web frontend, and Expo/React Native for mobile.
- Ability to lead complex and ambiguous projects from conception to completion and architect systems for long-term use.
- Strong systems thinking and the ability to design observable, testable, and maintainable solutions.
- Proven ability to move businesses forward, take deep ownership, identify improvements, and drive implementation.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with the listed technology stack is valuable, but strong engineering fundamentals and adaptability are prioritized.
