Base Salary
$140k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform schema changes without downtime.
- Manage data migrations between database shards.
- Create new database clusters to support growth.
- Resolve database performance issues.
- Automate routine DBA tasks.
- Collaborate with developers to design database strategies and support application features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience with MySQL, including replication, sharding, performance tuning, and backups using Percona XtraBackup and GCP Snapshot.
- 3+ years of NoSQL experience, preferably with MongoDB, MongoDB Atlas, and MongoDB sharding.
- Experience with cloud-native databases and familiarity with DevOps.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of network constructs and network security.
Benefits
- Salary range of $140,000.00–$210,000.00 for employees in Sunnyvale, California; ranges may differ by state.
- Eligible associates may receive an annual incentive opportunity consisting of cash bonus and equity awards at the company’s discretion.
