Responsibilities
- Develop and debug features, systems, and tools for a cross-platform game.
- Write C/C++ code that ships with the game.
- Apply best practices to maximize game performance across PC and console platforms.
- Collaborate with engineers, artists, designers, and producers to take features from idea to screen.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to explore code, prototype, and test faster.
- Clearly describe contributions to submitted projects, games, or tools.
Requirements
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada for the entire internship; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Be enrolled in an accredited degree program and return to school for at least one semester after the internship.
- Be graduating in May 2028 or later, including time needed to complete the internship.
- Be enrolled in a related field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Have entry-level experience, with prior internship, coursework, or personal C++ projects valued.
- Be familiar with C++ and at least one other programming language.
- Understand object-oriented programming and have used vector math or trigonometry in a project.
- Be curious about AI-assisted development tools and able to explain, test, and stand behind submitted code.
- Provide an expected graduation date, project examples, and a cover letter.
