Responsibilities
- Design, implement, debug, and maintain code for game features and components.
- Work with the game’s UI technology stack.
- Collaborate with engineers and technical and non-technical game developers to deliver online features for released and unreleased games.
- Investigate feature requirements, document findings, and communicate technical requirements to non-technical team members.
- Track task progress, report status and blockers, and participate in code reviews and revisions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada for the entire internship and return to school for at least one semester afterward.
- Must be graduating in May 2028 or later, including the time needed to complete the internship.
- Entry-level experience through prior internships, coursework, or relevant personal or academic projects.
- Foundational knowledge of modern C++, including object-oriented design, memory management, pointers and references, standard library data structures, and algorithms.
- Understanding of code formatting, syntax conventions, build stability, and basic debugging using IDE tools.
- Preferred qualifications include conceptual knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, and local functional verification.
- Preferred qualifications include basic hands-on experience with Git or Perforce.
- Preferred qualifications include personal or academic game projects, game jams, or familiarity with Frostbite, Unreal, Unity, or Godot.
- Ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, receive feedback, and report progress transparently.
