Responsibilities
- Participate in discovery, requirements and scoping analysis, high-level design, and solution selection for software projects.
- Translate business and technical requirements into sustainable application solutions and deliver code for components or applications.
- Conduct unit, functional, regression, and other appropriate testing; create test cases and detect and resolve defects.
- Troubleshoot business, production, performance, availability, and application issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Perform application maintenance, monitoring, re-engineering, logging analysis, and program metric reporting.
- Build automation scripts and implement telemetry, security requirements, scalability, and high-availability features.
- Communicate project status and issues, coordinate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery and hand-offs.
- Provide guidance to small groups of two to three engineers and support hiring, training, mentoring, and assignment of associates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus two years of software engineering or related experience, or four years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of requirements analysis, traceability matrices, risk and cost analysis, business objectives, user stories, software design, coding, testing, defect management, troubleshooting, application maintenance, and program monitoring.
- Experience or knowledge with coding languages, frameworks, development tools, testing tools, application monitoring, debugging, performance, security, integration, data migration, and accessibility concepts.
- Preferred master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related area.
- Preferred knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, digital accessibility best practices, and accessible product development.
