Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable distributed backend services with high-QPS, low-latency, and high-reliability requirements.
- Architect resilient service-oriented systems using modern cloud technologies across backend, data, and ML layers.
- Partner with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate product and technical vision into quarterly roadmaps.
- Lead investments in developer tooling, shared platform capabilities, and cross-team relationships that improve organizational velocity.
- Build secure, reliable, maintainable, and well-tested production code at scale.
- Build and iterate on growth features that produce measurable improvements in user acquisition and retention.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional backend software engineering experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services in distributed environments.
- Expertise in server-side architecture, performance optimization, security, scalability, and containerized environments using technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience designing and running growth experiments or A/B tests and using data to prioritize opportunities.
- Experience integrating databases, caching layers, and storage solutions such as Postgres, MongoDB, and DynamoDB in high-throughput systems.
- Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and end-to-end delivery experience from scoping through production monitoring.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
