Responsibilities
- Interface with technical personnel and team members to finalize requirements.
- Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
- Design and develop software across multiple systems and complete complex bug fixes.
- Translate complex product requirements into software designs.
- Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
- Resolve complex technical issues and work with complex data models and storage subsystems.
- Train entry-level engineers and mentor less-senior developers on methodologies and optimization techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and users to translate requests into solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies and software development best practices.
- Strong proficiency in data manipulation and optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of normalized and dimensional data modeling principles.
- Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
- Expertise in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .NET.
- Strong research, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of applicable tool sets and test-driven development.
- Ability to write and review specifications, complete complex bug fixes, and interface with technical personnel.
