Responsibilities

  • Interface with technical personnel and team members to finalize requirements.
  • Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
  • Design and develop software across multiple systems and complete complex bug fixes.
  • Translate complex product requirements into software designs.
  • Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
  • Resolve complex technical issues and work with complex data models and storage subsystems.
  • Train entry-level engineers and mentor less-senior developers on methodologies and optimization techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and users to translate requests into solutions.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience.
  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies and software development best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in data manipulation and optimization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of normalized and dimensional data modeling principles.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
  • Expertise in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .NET.
  • Strong research, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable tool sets and test-driven development.
  • Ability to write and review specifications, complete complex bug fixes, and interface with technical personnel.
