Base Salary
$191k - $334k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build core developer platforms, including SDKs, APIs, runtime abstractions, tooling infrastructure, and developer-facing services.
- Own end-to-end delivery of products that improve developer productivity, time-to-market, artifact quality, and developer activation.
- Define general-purpose, reliable, and extensible platform primitives for other products to use.
- Drive platform technical strategy, roadmap development, API design, and cross-team alignment.
- Set standards for architecture, design, observability, and operational excellence.
- Measure developer activation, integration velocity, artifact quality, and ecosystem breadth.
- Mentor senior engineers and raise the team's technical depth.
Requirements
- 12+ years designing, building, and operating production systems, including significant platform or infrastructure team experience.
- Experience leading the design and multi-year operation of developer platforms used by 100+ external teams.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, reliability, API design, performance, fault tolerance, and observability.
- Strong systems engineering experience with production microservices environments at scale.
- Experience building general-purpose platforms and designing effective abstractions.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership through design, coding, production debugging, and iteration based on feedback.
- Ability to make platform tradeoffs with incomplete data and understand developer activation funnels and feedback loops.
- Familiarity with LLM-based architectures or agent orchestration patterns is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise developer environments, authentication, sandboxing, compliance, and multi-tenancy constraints is preferred.
