Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to strategic customers delivering big data implementations, including architecture, security design, development, deployment, and automation best practices.
- Architect production workloads and perform end-to-end pipeline load performance testing and optimization.
- Provide expertise in cloud infrastructure and security for the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
- Assist Solution Architects with technical sales activities, custom proof-of-concept content, workload sizing, and custom architectures.
- Support customers in designing and implementing Databricks security lakehouses and security data platforms for SIEM augmentation, security analytics, threat hunting, and advanced detections.
- Drive community adoption through tutorials, training, hackathons, conference presentations, and contributions to the Databricks Community.
Requirements
- Fluent Japanese is required and business-level English is preferred.
- Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across multiple industries.
- Experience designing, setting up, and maintaining production-grade big data systems as a data platform engineer, including Spark.
- Experience designing cloud infrastructure, networks, connectivity, identity and access management, and security across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience automating cloud infrastructure with Terraform or cloud-specific resource management tools such as ARM or CloudFormation.
- Ability to design performant, scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based big data solutions.
- Deep knowledge of engineering development practices, including CI/CD, unit and integration testing, automation, and orchestration.
- Production programming experience with one or more of Python, Scala, SQL, or R.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Databricks Certification is preferred.
