Lead Software Engineer - Backend
Capital OneResponsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Deliver solutions that meet regulatory needs and create customer experiences through cloud-based technologies.
- Collaborate with digital product managers on robust cloud-based solutions.
- Mentor engineering team members and participate in internal and external technology communities.
- Use Java, HTML/CSS, SQL, relational and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS services, and messaging tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, excluding internships.
- At least 3 years of Java experience.
- At least 2 years of cloud computing experience with AWS.
- Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or RabbitMQ.
- Intermediate-advanced English fluency.
- Preferred: master’s degree, 2+ years of AWS experience, 2+ years of open-source framework experience, and 2+ years leading technical teams.
