Base Salary

$154k - $208k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end solutions and make trade-off decisions across security, scalability, reliability, performance, cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Advise customer technical and business stakeholders and connect architecture decisions to measurable business outcomes.
  • Evaluate customer architectures, identify risks and modernization opportunities, and deliver remediation guidance and roadmaps.
  • Build and validate prototypes, proof points, and reference implementations in personal sandboxes and customer non-production environments.
  • Integrate governance, security, resiliency, observability, testing, and maintainability into demonstrable solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales, business development, professional services, support, product and engineering teams, and external partners.
  • Translate customer evidence into actionable product requirements and contribute to product direction.
  • Mentor practitioners, lead design reviews, improve team processes, and create reusable code, tooling, and reference architectures.
  • Develop technical content and represent the organization at customer forums, industry events, and technical conferences.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
  • Bachelor’s degree or a Cloud Technology Certification, such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering.
  • Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
  • Experience working with customers on substantial, strategic, and complex software or cloud services and infrastructure deals from opportunity through closure.
  • Experience leading architecture and design for new or existing systems, or building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives and clients.
  • Experience diagnosing challenges using multiple teams and data sources and recommending solutions.
  • Preferred experience leading engineering discussions on product technology decisions and strategy.
  • Preferred experience analyzing customer or selling-partner issues and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Preferred experience producing clear technical documentation and direction.
  • Preferred experience synthesizing feedback from product management, engineering, testing, and marketing.
  • Preferred experience with AI/ML technologies and relevant technical certification.
