Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and optimize high-performance scientific software components and simulation kernels.
- Establish software quality, testing, maintainability, and development best practices.
- Lead the development and evolution of the simulation environment for integrating, orchestrating, and executing quantum chip simulations.
- Drive onboarding and adoption of simulation tools, gather user feedback, and help shape the tooling roadmap.
- Support simulation studies, including running simulation pipelines.
- Partner with quantum scientists, researchers, and cross-functional colleagues.
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Scientific Computing, Quantum Physics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in an industrial environment.
- Proficiency in Python and JAX, with strong software engineering skills.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code review, and software maintainability practices.
- Experience with scientific computing ecosystems such as NumPy, SciPy, JAX, or PETSc.
- Familiarity with HPC environments using CPU and GPU resources.
- Hands-on experience running simulations or using scientific simulation software such as Ansys or COMSOL.
- Professional-level written and spoken English.
- Rust proficiency, quantum physics experience, and experience using LLM-powered tools are preferred.
