Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance an open-source application platform that provisions infrastructure, installs applications, and keeps them running reliably in production.
- Own the end-to-end development lifecycle from requirements analysis and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production operation.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex development initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and help develop their software engineering skills.
- Collaborate with development teams, operations teams, and product managers to solve complex problems.
- Apply DevOps best practices as part of a global team operating 24x7.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of commercial experience regularly delivering quality software and overcoming technical challenges.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex technical solutions.
- Proficiency in Java and SQL plus at least one other modern programming language, with openness to learning more.
- A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a master’s degree, or a PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, curiosity, customer focus, and commitment to continuous growth.
