Responsibilities
- Maintain systems for observability.
- Adjust and maintain service-level objectives (SLOs).
- Participate in and facilitate incident resolution, including on-call duty of up to one week-long shift per month.
- Implement proactive improvements that increase the reliability of managed platforms.
- Assess anticipated or manifested failure scenarios with delivery teams and define mitigations.
- Create runbooks to remediate or prevent failure scenarios.
- Reduce work that does not add value.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Support Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer.
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles and experience working with SLOs.
- Experience resolving severe incidents on high-impact platforms.
- Scripting skills and experience automating moderately complex processes.
- Familiarity with automation systems such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Ansible, or Chef.
- Upper-intermediate English proficiency at least at B2 level, written and spoken.
- Preferred: experience with React.js, production incident management, commerce platforms, corporate environments, international teams, public cloud serverless services, monitoring and APM systems, pipelining tools, or Docker.
