Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve server-side applications and APIs.
- Lead complex integrations with external partners, especially Electronic Health Record systems.
- Continuously improve backend architecture and developer experience.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and influence long-term technical decisions.
- Collaborate with product and machine learning teams to deliver end-to-end features.
- Own key components of backend systems supporting scalable, real-time clinical workloads.
Requirements
- Strong foundations in computer science or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in backend engineering, ideally in fast-paced, production-critical environments.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, C++, or Python.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and distributed systems.
- Ability to drive architectural decisions and technical strategy.
- Strong standards for clean, maintainable, high-quality software and clear communication in English.
- GraphQL and OpenAPI experience is a plus.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, security or compliance, or healthcare data standards such as FHIR is a bonus.
