Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and develop Azure infrastructure-based architectures and solutions.
- Architect, develop, deploy, and document new cloud systems or maintain existing systems across cloud platforms.
- Deliver client outcomes according to statements of work and service-level agreements.
- Guide Agile development teams on cloud enablement, migration, infrastructure needs, cloud best practices, and economies of scale.
- Engage customers to understand use cases and operational needs and translate cloud vendor roadmaps into technology guidance.
- Design for cloud security, compliance, operational reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Conduct audits of cloud utilization and recommend optimization and security improvements.
- Mentor teams and act as a technical consultant across multiple projects.
- Integrate code quality and security tools into CI/CD pipelines and build and release solutions to Azure services.
Requirements
- Well versed in Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
- Strong understanding and implementation experience with the DevSecOps framework.
- Ability to architect secure, scalable, enterprise-ready, and cost-optimized cloud solutions.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OCI, and microservices architectures.
- Experience with Unix and Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Ability to communicate target-state cloud architecture and topology to clients.
- Understanding of resilient, scalable, high-performing distributed application design principles.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and other automation, orchestration, and CI/CD tools.
- Experience building and releasing to Azure WebApp, Logic App, Data Factory, Databricks, and other Azure services.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, ARM, Pulumi, or comparable tools.
- Experience working with external clients, managing expectations, and delivering projects.
- Programming experience with Python, Bash, Perl, VBScript, or Go is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, or Fluent Bit is an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and adapt to changing requirements.
