Base Salary
$185k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design, implementation, testing, and delivery of software features or subsystems.
- Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
- Improve existing codebases, systems, and development practices.
- Solve moderately complex technical problems and contribute to system design discussions and reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver user-centered solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Identify and communicate risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to quality through testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience developing and delivering production-quality software in a professional or comparable environment.
- Proficiency developing professional web applications and familiarity with modern development frameworks.
- Experience owning features or components from design through deployment.
- Understanding of software development fundamentals, system design, and debugging practices.
- Ability to work independently on moderately complex problems with limited guidance.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners and incorporating feedback.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Preferred: experience with ReactJS and NodeJS.
- Preferred: experience improving systems or services beyond individual features.
- Preferred: familiarity with performance optimization, scalability, reliability, testing strategies, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred: experience mentoring engineers or contributing across teams to shared systems.
