Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end database development for mission-critical financial applications.
- Own architecture decisions for database components and align them with overall application architecture.
- Develop and optimize stored procedures, database objects, queries, indexes, and execution plans.
- Build reusable database utilities and frameworks to improve developer productivity and consistency.
- Design database models and support ETL processes for loading large data volumes.
- Coordinate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on automation, deployment pipelines, and environment readiness.
- Lead technical discussions and mentor developers.
- Collaborate with technology and business teams to deliver solutions for Securities Finance products.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer.
- Strong RDBMS, SQL querying, stored procedure, trigger, function, view, and privilege experience.
- Strong database modeling, data analysis, design, coding, problem-solving, and performance-tuning skills.
- Experience with query tuning, indexing strategies, execution-plan analysis, and high-volume ETL processes.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor developers and lead technical discussions.
- Financial industry experience, preferably in capital markets or securities finance, is preferred.
- At least 5 years of financial industry experience is a plus.
- Core Java, Python, Control-M, and AWS experience are nice to have or a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and financial industry terminology is preferred.
