Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services using distributed architectures and microservices.
- Lead the migration of critical services from monolithic architecture to microservices while ensuring seamless integration and high availability.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior and senior engineers on software development, testing, and deployment practices.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement service optimizations.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and provide technical guidance on solution design.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product owners, and global teams on consumer-facing applications and supporting infrastructure.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering with a strong focus on backend development and system architecture.
- Proficiency with backend technologies and programming languages such as Go or Java.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience migrating applications from monolithic architectures to microservices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Agile development practices and adapting to changing priorities.
- Strong mentorship, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot beyond casual experimentation, including providing context, verifying outputs, testing, and setting boundaries on generated work.
