Responsibilities
- Rapidly design and build end-to-end prototypes in TypeScript and Python.
- Define and implement integrations with internal platforms, external services, and third-party partners.
- Establish architectural decisions covering service boundaries, data models, deployment patterns, APIs, and data flows.
- Contribute across backend services, APIs, frontend interfaces, data pipelines, and geospatial processing.
- Iterate prototypes into robust solutions based on stakeholder and partner feedback.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on shared architecture, interfaces, standards, and interoperability.
- Establish early-stage engineering practices for code quality, documentation, and lightweight testing.
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals in TypeScript and Python with a focus on clean, maintainable code.
- Experience building full-stack applications with backend services, APIs, and modern frontend interfaces.
- Proven ability to rapidly prototype and translate ambiguous requirements into working systems.
- Experience designing integrations between systems, APIs, data pipelines, and third-party services.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and deploying scalable services.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and system design with pragmatic trade-off judgment.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and taking ownership of work.
- Preferred experience includes early-stage or zero-to-one products, React, Node.js, FastAPI, data-intensive applications, AI/ML product integrations, external partners, interoperable systems, geospatial data, or Earth observation.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as code-generation tools, copilots, or agentic workflows is a plus.
