Responsibilities
- Build and iterate on end-to-end prototypes using TypeScript and Python to validate product direction.
- Design and implement integrations with internal platforms, external services, and partners while maintaining reliable data flows and extensible interfaces.
- Define early architectural decisions covering service boundaries, data models, deployment patterns, and long-term maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders on architecture, APIs, shared standards, and reuse of existing components.
- Prototype integrations and validate interoperability with external partners in real-world and security-sensitive environments.
- Establish best practices for early-stage development, including code quality, documentation, and lightweight testing.
- Contribute across backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces to deliver cohesive end-to-end experiences.
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals in TypeScript and Python with an emphasis on clean, maintainable code.
- Experience building full stack applications with backend services, APIs, and modern frontend interfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly prototype and iterate while translating ambiguous requirements into working solutions.
- Experience designing integrations between systems, including APIs, data pipelines, and third-party services.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and deploying scalable services.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and system design with pragmatic decision-making skills.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
- Preferred experience includes early-stage or zero-to-one product development, React, Node.js, FastAPI, data-intensive applications, AI/ML-driven products, interoperable systems, geospatial data, Earth observation, and AI-assisted development tools.
