Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement robust, maintainable automation frameworks for evolving technologies and platforms.
- Develop, debug, refactor, review, and optimize automation code and reusable framework components.
- Apply software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices to production-grade automation.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and the software development lifecycle.
- Evaluate emerging tools, AI-driven testing platforms, and industry trends to modernize testing processes.
- Establish metrics and KPIs for automation performance, manual-effort reduction, release acceleration, reliability, and coverage.
- Define and own test strategies across enterprise projects in collaboration with the Test Automation Architect.
- Mentor engineers at all career stages and provide technical leadership across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, product, business, and senior stakeholder teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of experience in software testing and automation, including substantial SDET coding experience delivering scalable enterprise solutions.
- Strong coding ability in JavaScript; Python or Pytest experience is a plus.
- Experience designing scalable automation frameworks from scratch and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with UI, functional, API, performance, and BDD testing frameworks, including Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, and SpecFlow.
- Breadth across functional, integration, regression, mobile, data, security, component, and UI/UX testing.
- Demonstrated technical leadership across multiple projects and the ability to communicate technical decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of Agile delivery practices including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
- Familiarity with change-control processes and CAPA management is preferred for regulated environments.
- Exposure to Power BI, Splunk, or similar monitoring and reporting tools is a plus.
