Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services for payment processing, invoicing, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Build auditable data pipelines that provide accuracy and traceability across financial operations.
- Integrate with payment gateways, banking APIs, and financial data providers.
- Implement data integrity patterns including idempotency, retry logic, and failure handling.
- Translate regulatory requirements into technical implementations with compliance and product teams.
- Contribute to fraud detection logic, rate limiting, and access control for financial operations.
- Own incidents end-to-end, including investigation, resolution, and post-mortems to improve reliability.
Requirements
- Require 5–7+ years of backend engineering experience with meaningful exposure to FinTech, payments, or financial data systems.
- Require strong Java and Spring Boot proficiency with deep understanding of transactional systems and data consistency.
- Require solid PostgreSQL experience including schema design, indexing, and query optimization for financial data.
- Require experience integrating payment processors such as Stripe or Adyen, or open banking APIs.
- Value ownership, correctness, delivery speed, calm execution under pressure, structured thinking, and rigorous testing practices.
