Base Salary
$165k - $306k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve enterprise AI platform strategies, reference architectures, technology standards, governance frameworks, and multi-year roadmaps.
- Lead technical design and architecture decisions for systems, services, dataflows, and AI capabilities across multiple domains and portfolios.
- Architect and assess AI, machine learning, generative AI, agentic AI, advanced analytics, cloud, security, data, and integration capabilities.
- Partner with executives, business owners, technology leaders, risk, security, legal, product, and data organizations to shape investments, operating models, and execution frameworks.
- Evaluate applications and technology solutions, identify risks and opportunities, and advise senior leaders and the CTO on recommended actions.
- Establish architecture compliance processes, risk assessments, standards waivers, controls, and responsible AI governance practices.
- Mentor experienced architects, engineers, and IT colleagues while building team redundancy and backfill capability.
- Support technology ecosystem activities, Program Increment planning, and troubleshooting of complex production incidents.
- Maintain external industry, government, and vendor relationships and contribute through certifications, conferences, publications, open source, or patents.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technology architecture, platform engineering, software engineering, data architecture, or related disciplines, including leadership of enterprise-scale technology transformation initiatives.
- Experience defining enterprise platform strategies, reference architectures, technology standards, and multi-year roadmaps for emerging technology adoption.
- Experience architecting and implementing AI, machine learning, generative AI, or advanced analytics platforms with governance, security, scalability, operationalization, and risk management.
- Experience partnering across technology, product, data, risk, security, legal, and business organizations to establish governance and execution frameworks.
- Deep understanding of AI applications across architecture, software development, testing, operations, platform engineering, and developer productivity workflows.
- Ability to evaluate and influence enterprise AI investments using measurable business outcomes, adoption strategies, value metrics, and success frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex technology strategies, architecture decisions, risks, and tradeoffs to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
- Experience developing AI fluency through thought leadership, education, mentoring, architecture guidance, and collaboration.
- Deep understanding of technology governance, architecture principles, security controls, regulatory considerations, and risk management in highly regulated industries.
- Experience leading cross-functional architecture across application, data, integration, cloud, security, and AI domains.
- Preferred experience with AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic, enterprise agent architectures, orchestration, tool integration, autonomous workflows, knowledge graphs, semantic models, vector search, metadata platforms, retrieval architectures, context engineering, AI observability, evaluation, security, and model lifecycle management.
