Responsibilities
- Define and communicate technical vision and architectural direction across teams.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable, resilient, and secure technology solutions.
- Spearhead the evolution of infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Establish technical standards, engineering best practices, and quality benchmarks.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs, non-functional requirements, dependencies, and solution options.
- Align technology decisions with business strategy, product roadmaps, and long-term objectives.
- Partner with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and Engineering Leads to deliver business outcomes.
- Support resolution of complex technical, performance, and production issues.
- Mentor and coach engineers and build technical capability across teams.
- Lead modernization, cloud, AI, and platform engineering initiatives.
- Define enterprise integration and API strategies across platforms.
- Represent engineering in portfolio, platform, and strategic governance forums.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and identify innovation opportunities.
- Influence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple teams without direct authority.
- Manage technical risks and strengthen controls related to the team’s work.
Requirements
- Experience defining technical vision and architectural direction across teams.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and resilient technology solutions.
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs, non-functional requirements, dependencies, and solution options.
- Ability to align technology decisions with business strategy and long-term objectives.
- Ability to embed security, resilience, and risk considerations into solution design.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers and building engineering maturity.
- Ability to resolve complex technical, performance, and production issues.
- Strategic thinking, business acumen, digital and technology expertise, and change and transformation skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple teams without direct authority.
- Risk and controls awareness and ability to support governance objectives.
