Staff Engineer, Full Stack (US, Canada, SF)

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale full-stack applications across customer-facing and internal platforms
- Drive technical direction, architecture decisions, trade-offs, and engineering standards
- Collaborate with design, product, and operations to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Translate Figma designs into interactive experiences and build robust backend integrations
- Use data, A/B testing, instrumentation, and iteration to improve user experience and business outcomes
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and improve team effectiveness
- Drive testing and automation across the stack
- Manage application deployment and operations and build CI/CD pipelines
- Champion performance, security, accessibility, reliability, and technical excellence
Requirements
- Experience building and launching high-quality user-facing products
- Fluency in TypeScript and CSS with extensive experience building scalable applications using Next.js and React.js
- Hands-on experience with React Query, Tailwind CSS, Webpack, and Yarn
- Experience collaborating with Git and GitHub
- Experience translating Figma designs into accessible, responsive interfaces across devices and browsers
- Ability to establish testing practices and methodologies
- Understanding of front-end performance optimization and scalable application development
- Thoughtfulness about documentation, communication, and team enablement
- Ability to own solutions end-to-end in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- 5+ years of professional front-end development preferred
- Startup experience, component-system or library experience, SSR and SSG experience, and experience leading or building a front-end engineering team are preferred
- Experience with remote global teams, sprint-based teams, open source, or personal projects is preferred
