Base Salary
$95k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain shared engineering infrastructure, internal platforms, frameworks, and foundational system components.
- Develop scalable architectural patterns, shared backend services, and distributed systems for service-to-service communication and integration.
- Build automation tools and internal utilities supporting deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows.
- Improve fault tolerance, observability, resiliency, scalability, and performance while modernizing legacy components.
- Review system designs, document infrastructure and reliability standards, and support teams adopting shared platform components and best practices.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, platform engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and analytics engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in another software development position.
- At least 2 years of professional experience developing robust, mission-critical systems using C/C++, Java, C#, Rust, React, and object-oriented programming.
- At least 2 years of professional experience designing and optimizing distributed systems, including Java and Spring Boot microservices, Redis caching, and Kafka event-driven messaging.
- At least 2 years of experience analyzing and improving system scalability, reliability, and performance metrics.
- At least 2 years of experience solving complex problems with significant business impact and working with production environments, dependencies, and platform primitives.
- At least 2 years of experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and product teams.
