Base Salary
$190k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe's engineering teams.
- Build, develop, test, and deploy software infrastructure.
- Design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
- Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design.
- Collaborate with engineers to build new features at large-scale.
- Build new systems to securely store and modify production systems.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- 2 years of experience in software development.
- 2 years of experience working with Ruby, Java, Scala, or Go.
- 2 years of experience implementing industry standard design patterns.
- 2 years of experience building full-stack or backend applications at scale.
- 2 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs and distributed systems.
- 2 years of experience writing unit tests and performing manual testing.
