Responsibilities
- Modernize existing systems and develop new backend services.
- Solve technical challenges involving performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Write clean, well-tested, high-quality, and maintainable code.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with teammates to improve engineering practices, share knowledge, and adopt valuable new technologies.
- Contribute to redesigning services and building high-performance distributed systems for the Playtech Open Platform.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of modern Java, including multithreading and concurrency; Java 21/25 is preferred.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving techniques.
- General understanding of distributed systems and backend application design.
- Understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Commitment to high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested software.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, Git, and Docker.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and debugging performance issues is preferred.
