Responsibilities

Modernize existing systems and develop new backend services.
Solve technical challenges involving performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Write clean, well-tested, high-quality, and maintainable code.
Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
Collaborate with teammates to improve engineering practices, share knowledge, and adopt valuable new technologies.
Contribute to redesigning services and building high-performance distributed systems for the Playtech Open Platform.

Solid knowledge of modern Java, including multithreading and concurrency; Java 21/25 is preferred.
Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving techniques.
General understanding of distributed systems and backend application design.
Understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
Commitment to high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested software.
Experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, Git, and Docker.
Knowledge of performance tuning and debugging performance issues is preferred.
