Responsibilities
- Partner with Solutions Engineers, Sales, and Customer Success teams to support qualified sales opportunities.
- Lead technical discovery, solution design, technical demonstrations, content delivery guidance, and pre-sales support for government customers.
- Advise prospects and customers on integrating Nearmap content into GIS, asset management, cloud, and custom application environments.
- Develop deployable solutions, workflows, custom demos, technical documentation, and scenario-based demonstrations.
- Act as a liaison between customers and Product, Engineering, and Technology teams by communicating feedback, escalating bugs, and shaping features and integrations.
- Lead onboarding, integration, and best-practice guidance for custom solutions.
- Represent Nearmap at conferences, speaking events, webinars, and through blogs and other sales and marketing content.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a GIS-centric role, preferably involving local government.
- At least 2 years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering is preferred.
- Advanced experience using geospatial content and performing analysis in desktop and web-based GIS applications, particularly the ArcGIS suite, is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, or a STEM field is required.
- Familiarity with public safety E911 CAD systems such as Motorola VESTA or PremierOne is highly desired.
- Experience writing or responding to government contract RFPs/RFIs is preferred.
- Ability to build compelling user stories from geospatial data stacks.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, time-management, and value-based sales skills.
